    Overview

    A Dubuque company is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee new store builds, remodels, and facility conversions that drive company growth. This role ensures all construction projects are delivered on-time, within budget, and to high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will coordinate with contractors, internal teams, and leadership to create efficient, functional, and visually appealing retail environments.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Manage all phases of construction, including new builds, remodels, additions, and conversions.

    + Oversee project budgets, schedules, and contractor performance to ensure successful completion.

    + Standardize specifications for fixtures, remodels, and new builds.

    + Solicit, evaluate, and select bids to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.

    + Collaborate with Facilities on maintenance planning, HVAC replacement, and utility upgrades.

    + Conduct site visits, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with safety and company standards.

    + Provide project updates and improvement recommendations to leadership.

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, or related field (preferred).

    + 3+ years of experience managing commercial or retail construction projects.

    + Proficiency in CAD, Revit, Blue Beam, and project management software.

    + Strong knowledge of design/build processes and mechanical systems.

    + Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

    + Willingness to travel to job sites and work flexible hours.

    + Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform safe inspections at elevated heights

    Skills & Abilities

    + Expertise in project scheduling, budgeting, and reporting.

    + Knowledge of safety codes, building standards, and construction best practices.

    + Strong leadership, analytical, and collaboration skills.
