    Description

    **Tradesmen International** is immediately hiring experienced **Abrasive Blasters** for projects located in and around **San Diego, CA** . This is a second shift opportunity with a pay range of **up to $30/hour** based on experience and skill level.     Job Scope:

    + Installing protective masking and containment systems

    + Setting up, operating, and maintaining abrasive blasting and dust collection equipment

    + Performing surface prep to specified cleanliness standards

    + Operating blast media recovery systems and completing final surface cleaning before coating application

    + Other related tasks as assigned

    Requirements:

    + Minimum of 1 years abrasive blasting or SSPC C7 Certification (accredited)

    + Able to pass a drug screen and background check

    + OSHA-10 Maritime and Firewatch (prior to start)

    + Must pass Respirator Fit Test

    + Must be knowledgeable in surface preparation procedures and safe equipment operation

    + Tools of the trade

    + Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently (up to 100 lbs with assistance)

    + Perform standing, balancing, climbing, kneeling, bending, crawling, and working in confined spaces or reclined positions as needed

    + Maintain safety awareness and hazard avoidance
