The Administrative Support Department at Stanford Law School seeks a full-time Academic Programs and Judicial Clerkships Administrator to join our dynamic team of administrative, academic, and legal services professionals. As a premier administrative support unit, this department plays an integral role in assisting and supporting faculty, instructors, directors, and other staff across the law school and other parts of Stanford. In this position, you will be responsible for providing a full range of administrative support to all law school academic programs, as well as supervision over the judicial clerkship process in collaboration with the Office of Career Services.
In this role, you will maintain a full range of administrative and research duties and are expected to work collaboratively with many departments within the Law School and externally to achieve a broad range of programmatic and academic goals. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and enjoys managing complex projects that support the academic mission of the Law School.
This position reports to the Associate Director of Administrative Support and requires both independent initiative and the ability to work cohesively as part of a team.

General Duties
Trial Advocacy - Specialized Duties
+ Administrative management of trial skills workshops and corresponding classes.
+ Oversee student enrollment in collaboration with the Registrar's office, including final enrollment and waitlist decisions based on results of student consent forms.
+ Createandmanageabudget,examining past year actuals.
+ Collect and analyze data forthecourse;formulate alternative solutions and/or recommendations to achievethe annualgoals of the program.
+ Lead planning and debriefmeetings to identifyissuesand recommendimprovements.
+ Identify and recruit local trial attorneys and judges as guest faculty instructors. Recruit and manage community jurors. Supervise and train student teaching assistants.
+ Survey students concerning course improvement and guest faculty evaluations; review and summarize findings;identify teaching preferences forfuture guest facultyscheduling.
+ Management of mock trial events, includingcourthouse application andprocurement of contract;coordinate courthouse deputies'and oversee faculty, students, and jurors' adherence to courthouse policies.
+ Utilize, manage, and enhance, customized database and collaboratewith web developers to automateguest faculty invitations, student surveys, teaching confirmations, and year end faculty evaluations.
Kirkwood Moot** **Court** **-** **Specialized** **Duties
+ Recruit and manage guest attorneys/judges and federal judges for the Kirkwood Moot Court competition to support four rounds of competition.
+ Schedule faculty and six federal judges and integrate Dean involvement in the final two rounds.
+ Administer online scorecard and scoring system;assist with scoring preliminary, quarterfinal, and semifinal rounds of competition

Judicial Clerkship Letter Process -** **Specialized** **Duties
+ Manage the administrative portion of the Federal and Supreme Court judicial clerkship application process in collaboration with the Clerkship Director, including recommendation letter processing throughout the year and during the judicial clerkship Federal Law Clerk Hiring Plan season.
+ Management and administration ofOSCAR (Online System for Clerkship Application and Review) andCAM (Clerkship Application Manager), a customized law school database for managing and processing student clerkship letters; responsible for training and implementation of new designs or features
+ Createabudget and negotiate service contracts with web application developers.
+ Maintaintheclerkship letter handbook with new trends, procedures,andguidelines.
Education & Experience:
High school diploma and six years of administrative experience, oracombination of education and relevant experience. Experience in an academic orcorporate environment preferred. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
+ Advanced computer skills and demonstrated experience with office software and email applications, as well as strong internet research and database skills.
+ Proven success in following through and completing projects.

The expected pay range for this position is $45.23-51.03 per hour.
