Maintenance Mechanic – Temp to Direct
**Location:** Burnsville, MN
**Pay Rate:** $25.00 per hour
**Schedule:** Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
**On-Call:** Once per month (details discussed during interview)
**Assignment Type:** Temp-to-Direct Hire
Position Overview
We’re seeking a skilled and motivated **Maintenance Mechanic** to join our team in **Burnsville, MN** . In this role, you’ll perform preventive and corrective maintenance on a wide range of facility systems, equipment, and machinery. You’ll be responsible for keeping operations running efficiently, ensuring equipment reliability, and maintaining a safe, well-functioning environment under the direction of the Facility and Operations Managers.
This is a **temp-to-direct opportunity** with long-term potential for growth, stability, and advancement.
Key Responsibilities
+ Maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC/R systems within the facility
+ Service and troubleshoot **manufacturing process equipment** , pumps, motors, and hydraulic systems
+ Perform **preventive maintenance** to reduce equipment downtime and extend service life
+ Monitor and adjust **temperature and pressure control systems** for optimal performance
+ Support and maintain **building automation and utility piping systems**
+ Maintain spare parts inventory and ensure timely replacement of worn or defective components
+ Track and report maintenance activities using computerized maintenance systems (CMMS)
+ Comply with all company safety standards, participate in safety training, and follow pre-task planning procedures
+ Support building operations related to **indoor air quality, exhaust systems, and mechanical performance**
+ Participate in on-call rotation to support after-hours emergencies or critical maintenance needs
Qualifications
+ High school diploma or GED required
+ Technical or vocational training in maintenance, HVAC, electrical, or related field preferred
+ Minimum **1 year of hands-on experience** in general building repair and maintenance, including basic plumbing and electrical work
+ Experience with **pumps, motors, hydraulics, and mechanical systems**
+ Familiarity with **HVAC/R, building automation systems, and temperature control equipment**
+ Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
+ Excellent problem-solving ability and attention to detail
+ Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance tasks
Certifications & Requirements
+ Valid state driver’s license
+ Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and work from ladders or elevated positions (up to 30 feet)
+ Comfortable with frequent bending, climbing, kneeling, and standing for extended periods

**Pay Details:** $25.00 per hour
