Required Skills:

Software Engineer, Machine Learning Responsibilities:

1. Research, design, develop, and test operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for massive social data and prediction problems.

2. Working on problems of moderate scope, develop highly scalable systems, algorithms and tools leveraging deep learning, data regression, and rules based models.

3. Suggest, collect, analyze and synthesize requirements and bottleneck in technology, systems, and tools.

4. Develop solutions that iterate orders of magnitude with a higher efficiency, efficiently leverage orders of magnitude and more data, and explore state-of-the-art deep learning techniques.

5. Adapt standard machine learning methods to best exploit modern parallel environments (eg distributed clusters, multicore SMP, and GPU).

6. Develop and implement advanced machine learning models for our recommendation system, enhancing user experience by delivering personalized advertisement.

7. Conduct rigorous data analysis and apply statistical techniques to understand user behavior and model performance.

8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product management, design) to integrate ML models into our product and optimize their performance.

9. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Software, Computer Engineering, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field

10. Requires completion of a university-level course, research project, internship, or thesis in the following:

11. Machine Learning Framework(s): PyTorch, MXNet, or Tensorflow

12. Machine learning, recommendation systems, computer vision, natural language processing, data mining, or distributed systems

13. Translating insights into business recommendations

14. Developing and debugging in C, C++, and Java

15. Scripting languages: Perl, Python, PHP, or shell scripts

16. C, C++, C#, or Java

17. Python, PHP, or Haskell

18. Software development tools: Code editors (VIM or Emacs), and revision control systems (Subversion, GIT, or Perforce)

19. Linux, UNIX, or other *nix-like OS including file manipulation and simple commands

20. Distributed systems including sharding, consistency, and availability

21. Data structures and algorithms

22. Researching skills to find, define, and solve Machine Learning and engineering problems

23. Mathematical foundations of Calculus, Statistics, and Linear Algebra

24. Ability to design experiments and evaluate model performance

25. Data science skills including processing sampling, sketching, and distributed processing of large scale databases, graphs, and data streams for purposes of scalable statistical description, querying, pattern mining, and learning

26. Programming methodologies (functional and object-oriented) and Design Patterns (Builders, Fluent API, Publish/Subscribe, State, Memento, Promise)

27. Design test cases to detect errors in code by applying systematic criteria and write code predicates to validate the inputs and outputs of a potential solution to a program problem
