    Required Skills:

    DFX Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities:

    1. Develop manufacturing methods through application of theoretical and practical engineering.

    2. Work closely with the DFX (design for manufacturing) team to create solutions for complex problems that impact quality, cost, and delivery of future wearable ARNR (augmented reality and virtual reality) and portal product families.

    3. Conduct detailed CAD reviews to identify manufacturing pain points and design alternatives.

    4. Identify NTI (New Technology Introduction) manufacturing processes.

    5. Define and implement best practices to meet the manufacturing challenges of our next generation of products.

    6. Drive all FATP (Final Assembly, Test and Pack) line qualifications activities.

    7. Partner with cross functional teams to identify and resolve manufacturing challenges by following DFX best practices and principles.

    8. Work closely with cross-functional teams (Hardware Engineering, Quality, Test, and Manufacturing Partners) to ensure designs are manufacturable from concept to high volume mass production.

    9. Define manufacturing processes and equipment requirements at the factory.

    10. Synthesize complex data sets into actionable feedback and lessons learned.

    11. Provide direction, guidance, and support to other engineering groups and CM partners.

    12. Travel domestically and internationally 15%.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Minimum Qualifications:

    13. Requires a Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Physics or related field and 12 months of experience int he job offered or related occupation. Experience must include one year of experience in the following:

    14. NPI (New Product Introduction) experience in automation, fixture, and equipment design for high precision manufacturing

    15. Communicating effectively across time zones and multiple cross-functional teams

    16. Working knowledge of GD&T

    17. Advanced CAD experience using NX software

    18. Synthesizing complex data sets into actionable feedback and lessons learned using JMP

    19. Advanced analysis and problem-solving techniques including DOE, failure analysis, CpK, GR&R, or PFMEA

    20. Production line development techniques including flow chart, cycle time calculation, UPH setup, line layout and balance, or SOP

    21. Working with and managing overseas vendors

    Public Compensation:

    $246,666/year to $276,870/year + bonus + equity + benefits
