Job Overview
PennyMac is seeking a Senior Credit Reporting Specialist to join our team. This vital role is central to ensuring the accurate and timely monthly transmission of our mortgage portfolio data to the four major credit bureaus. You'll be the backbone of our credit reporting process, upholding data integrity and adherence to the highest compliance standards.
A Typical Day
As a Senior Credit Reporting Specialist, you will primarily support the Credit Reporting team in the production and quality control of our monthly credit reporting transmission file. In addition, you will research complex issues, ensure procedures and policies are current, review and analyze data exceptions and review system logic and rules.
The Senior Credit Reporting Specialist will :
+ File Production: Assist in the generation and final review of the monthly Metro-2 transmission file for all four credit bureaus
+ Data Integrity: Execute and analyze trial queries (both pre-transmission and post-transmission) to validate data accuracy, completeness, and formatting. This includes running trial queries to account for day-of-reporting delays and coordinating the necessary correction processes
+ Validation & Compliance: Conduct rigorous post-transmission validation queries to identify and investigate potential "red flags," anomalies, and discrepancies in the reported data
+ System Knowledge: Understand the Credit Reporting Process Flow, including the origin of the credit reporting data, the system limitations for reporting and correcting data, and the application of internal bulk templates and reporting tabs
+ Make business process recommendations and implements changes across the department as appropriate
+ Implement processes that assist with the increase of quality and production metrics
+ Perform other related duties as required and assigned
+ Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values
What You’ll Bring
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
+ 5+ years of relevant work experience
+ Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
+ Ability to create databases and query data is a plus
+ Strong mortgage non-default servicing experience required

Compensation: Individual salary may vary based on multiple factors including specific role, geographic location / market data, and skills and experience as defined below:
+ Lower in range - Building skills and experience in the role
+ Mid-range - Experience and skills align with proficiency in the role
+ Higher in range - Experience and skills add value above typical requirements of the role
Some roles may be eligible for performance-based compensation and/or stock-based incentives awarded to employees based on company and individual performance.
