Chemours is seeking a **Maintenance Specialist** to join our growing Asset & Facilities team. This position will be available at the **Belle, WV** location and report directly to the **Maintenance & Reliability Manager** .
The Maintenance Specialist role is fundamental and critical to the effective and efficient execution of maintenance work through job planning, estimating, scheduling, coordination, and material procurement. The Maintenance Specialist interacts frequently with Operators, Mechanics, Storeroom personnel, Maintenance Supervision and Area Production Supervision. This is a day position 40 hours per week.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
+ Develop detailed work plans in SAP including all required materials, services, specialty tools, and skills.
+ Acts as the area contact for all maintenance work within area of responsibility.
+ Prepares work packages that include drawings, work permits, procedures, special tools, job plan, work order, safety requirements, and materials requirements prior to work execution.
+ Develops estimate for craft hours, labor, and material costs for each work order.
+ Uses prioritization plan from operations personnel to ensure work is planned and scheduled according to the proper priority.
+ Develops initial maintenance schedule based on material and personnel availability. Provides input to Site Scheduler during development of master schedule.
+ Screens each work order request for proper completion, discusses the details with the originating area, and ensures the work is clearly defined and properly authorized.
+ Identifies needs for support work operations such as sheet metal work, scaffolding, insulation removal, heavy equipment, rigging, etc.
+ Create follow-up notifications for new scopes of work as required.
+ Address emergency maintenance needs by collecting options, facilitating compromised solutions, and performing material procurement.
+ Routinely meets with Production Area Manager to ensure work order priorities are established and the appropriate work packages are completed and available.
+ Audits work in progress for safety and adherence to the job plan. Resolves discrepancies with line supervision.
+ Validate field completion of all maintenance and engineering activities to ensure compliance with established standards.
+ Participates in the routine maintenance prioritization, planning, and scheduling meetings.
The following is** **_required_** **for this role:
+ High school diploma or equivalent (GED) from an accredited institution.
+ Minimum 3+ years industrial maintenance experience.
+ Demonstrated knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
+ Experience working with an ERP system (preferably SAP PM).
+ Comfortable working independently and the ability to influence others.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently, including ability to manage numerous follow-up actions and deadlines.
+ Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, coordinate, and estimate.
+ Good verbal and written communication skills.
+ Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills with the ability to influence and remain solution focused.
+ Ability to thrive working in a team environment (team builder).
The following is** **_preferred_** **for this role:
+ Minimum 3+ years maintenance experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.
+ Experience with SAP Plant Maintenance ERP.
+ Ability to sequence job activities, acquire documentation, procure material, use specification references, prepare sketches, and maintain records.
+ Interpret blueprints, bill of materials, and detailed drawings.
+ Ability to learn new skills and work methods, acquire process knowledge, research maintenance technologies, and apply improvements in the maintenance management system.
