CNC Machine Operator

The Trident Company has an immediate opening for a CNC Machine Operator in the Tulsa, OK facility. The CNC Machine Operator performs advanced production activities requiring a demonstrated high level of skill and proficiency in material handling, production processes and multiple machine operation acquired through extended experience and training.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

+ Positions work pieces for processing.

+ Operates a combination of different machines to process work by cutting, burning, sawing, blasting, shearing, punching, grinding, bending or pressing.

+ Uses gauges, calipers, squares or rulers for measurement.

+ Determines processing specifications such as materials, cutting tools, location of cutting lines, dimensions, tolerances and operational sequences by reviewing blueprints, work orders, tooling instructions or other written specifications.

+ Installs and aligns specified punches, cutting blades or other fixtures in machine bed using gauges, templates, feelers, shims, or hand tools.

+ Adjusts controls to set cutting speed, depth and feed rates; and diagnoses problems and makes necessary adjustments.

+ Performs quality control inspections on finished product; for ISO-certified locations, performs In Process Quality Inspections

+ Coordinates and executes material handling of all inventories to be processed including operation of overhead crane.

+ Performs limited preventative maintenance, such as lubrication, cleaning and changing of parts.

+ May train less experienced workers and perform as lead in absence of group leader.

+ May mark identification on material/work pieces before processing

+ May mark material after processing; store material for additional processing and/or shipping

+ Restocks material.

+ Completes work order paperwork/documentation.

+ Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

+ High school diploma or equivalent

+ Reading and writing ability in English (to read instructions on tickets and cross-reference drawings, safety and policies manuals)

+ Basic measuring skills to read and convert English and Metric systems

+ Basic arithmetic skills to calculate and convert decimals and fractions

+ Minimum two (2) years experience as a machine operator

+ Experience operating overhead crane preferred
