Job Summary:
Responsible for overseeing the assembly process in a manufacturing environment. This role involves leading a team of assembly technicians, ensuring production targets are met, and maintaining quality standards. Assist the Assembly Manager and Department Supervisor by training employees; planning and directing work.
Essential Functions:
+ Provide daily operation expectations for assigned assembly team members through collaborating with the Department Supervisor.
+ Interpret specifications, blueprints and work instructions for assigned assembly team members.
+ Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
+ Report daily production output including any issues or downtime to the Department Supervisor.
+ Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
+ Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
+ Performs assembly activities in conjunction with leadership responsibilities as this role is considered a working lead.
+ Ensures quality control protocol measures are being met while also maintaining heat traceability for armor materials.
+ Enforce team compliance company safety policies and work cell cleanliness on the production floor.

Minimum Qualifications:
+ Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Education & Experience
+ High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Background Prerequisites:
Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification, reference checks, physical, and controlled substance testing.

+ Experience, education, certification that would be nice to have but are not required
