    The Irrigation Lead will monitor and/or help in day-to-day activities, delegate work to irrigation technicians, report to irrigation manager throughout the day to report progress, concerns, and/or upcoming tasks that need to be performed. The selected candidate would be responsible for assisting in irrigation maintenance and operations to make daily irrigations tasks timely and efficient on the Walmart Home Office Campus. They will need to plan, organize, coordinate, and direct irrigation operations according to established standards.

     

    **Location:** This position will be fully onsite in Bentonville, AR

    **Schedule:** Monday - Friday, 6:30am - 3:00pm

    You’ll make an impact by…

    + Developing and implementing irrigation maintenance processes, and optimizing the use of best practices, technology, and equipment.

    + Organizing workflow and communicating the daily sequence of tasks, directives, and procedures to be accomplished with the team.

    + Addressing logistical and technical problems that may arise during the day and report any irregularities to management. Responsibilities include coordinating and assigning tasks to irrigation technicians, ensuring work meets quality standards and deadlines, managing inventory and equipment, and providing technical guidance and training to team members.

    + Carrying out irrigation inspection tests (such as testing sprinklers, dripline, valves, operating pressures, and pumps) within our closed loop system in order to detect anomalies and make the necessary follow-up or repairs needed.

    + Responding to alerts/work orders from our Weather Trac and ticketing systems.

    + Being responsible for daily repair & maintenance of irrigation and related equipment.

    + Working with managers to maintain a high quality of watering throughout the growing season and adjusting watering as needed.

    + Using strong electrical/mechanical troubleshooting skills in irrigation.

    + Responding promptly to emergency situations such as equipment failures or water leaks.

    + Assisting with campus mulching efforts during the off season.

    + Assisting with snow/ice removal during the off season.

    You’ll sweep us off our feet if…

    + You have experience with Weather Trac.

    + You have 2 wire experience.

    + You have strong attention to detail and can work independently.

    + You have a positive and outgoing attitude.

    + You have strong technical skills.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + 3 - 5 years of irrigation installation and maintenance experience

    + 1 year of supervisory experience

    The hourly wage range for this position is $23.00-$45.00*

    *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

    Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

    2 years’ experience in the landscaping/gardening industry.

    3 - 5 years’ experience as crew leader or supervisor., Arkansas Certified Nursery and Landscape Professional, Associate’s degree in horticulture or related area.
