Are you a highly motivated and experienced problem-solver with a deep understanding of engine architecture? We are seeking a dedicated VO Quality Analyst to join our Quality Assurance team. In this critical role, you will take the lead in resolving quality concerns identified by our Vehicle Operations customers once engines have left the Cleveland Engine Plant (CEP). This position requires a proactive leader who can drive cross-functional investigations, represent the plant's interests, and ensure the highest standards of product quality and customer satisfaction.
What you'll do...
+ Respond to production issues resulting from incoming quality issues.
+ Review concerns on the production floor, to determine responsibility of concern
+ Perform Periodiic Job Observations (PJO), to ensure operators are performing job to Operator Instruction Standards (OIS)
+ Issue Quality Concern (QR) to the responsible suppliers
+ Coordinate meetings with suppliers, to drive quality concerns to closure
+ Work with suppliers to follow the 8D process
+ Achieve containment and get certified parts, for prodcution team to use
+ Achieve interim and permanent correct actions
+ Track open issues & communicate to the Quality, Engineering & Production teams
+ Work with Quality, Engineering & Production to solve open quality issues
+ Track process changes at the Supplier & in plant that affect customer quality
+ Work with MP&L on Quality Concerns to ensure containment and prevent cycle loss
+ Review Birth History on engines with quality issues and report out findings to the team and supplier
+ Lead Incoming Quality containment actions
+ Supervise Quality Hourly personnel
+ Review components in G-19 Containment crib for disposition
+ Lead supplier quality investigations that are related to issues found at Vehicle Operations (VO)
+ Work with hourly incoming quality coordinators and End of Line (EOL) inspectors
+ Occasional travel to VO plants and/or suppliers required.
You'll have...
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ 2+ Years of Experience
Even better, you may have...
+ Bachelors Degree
+ 6 Sigma Green belt or Black belt
+ Knowledge of Engine architecture / function
+ Strong Written and verbal communication skills
+ Strong Interpersonal skills. Customer focus
+ Ability to read part prints
+ Familiar with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint
+ Knowledge / Experience in use of Ford Quality Operating System and supporting applications:
+ 8D
+ GSAR system for generating supplier concerns
+ CMMS
+ QLS-CM
+ QWX
+ Work Force 1
+ CDC II
+ PTS
+ Track a Vehicle
+ eCATs

This position is a range of salary grades 6, 7 and 8.
