The Opportunity
We’re looking for a strategic and innovative Lead Design to Cost Engineer to drive value optimization through emerging technologies and best practices. This role offers the chance to lead global initiatives, mentor teams, and make a direct impact on product development and business outcomes. A key focus of this role is applying manufacturing expertise in Plastics, Machining, and Assembly using data-driven should-cost modeling to inform design and sourcing decisions.
What You’ll Work On
+ Identify and implement advanced technologies to reduce cost and improve design.
+ Apply manufacturing expertise in Plastics, Machining, and Assembly to support cost modeling and design decisions.
+ Utilize data-driven should-cost modeling to guide engineering and sourcing strategies.
+ Lead and mentor engineers and cross-functional project teams.
+ Develop and scale best practices across multiple products and divisions.
+ Align engineering strategies with supplier roadmaps and global trends.
+ Drive high-impact initiatives with measurable business outcomes.
+ Define and champion category strategy and innovation.
+ Advise on industry trends and competitive strategies.
+ Manage global initiatives and foster cross-cultural collaboration.
+ Build strategic supplier relationships and influence senior stakeholders.
+ Ensure compliance with corporate and divisional policies.
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree required.
+ 15+ years of relevant experience.
+ Proven leadership and strategic planning capabilities.
+ Strong background in innovation and cost optimization.
+ Deep knowledge of category technologies and supplier management.
+ Experience managing small teams and global initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
+ MBA or advanced degree.
+ Experience working across divisions and product lines.
+ Familiarity with global supplier ecosystems and emerging technologies.
+ Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.

The base pay for this position is $97,300.00 – $194,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
