**Pay:** $26.10 per hour
**Schedule:** Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Kelly® Professional & Industrial is hiring a **Mechanical Technician** to join a **premier automotive component manufacturer** in Bloomfield, CT. This is your chance to work hands-on with diesel engine test and prototype hardware in a collaborative engineering lab environment.

What you’ll do:
• Modify, test, and repair machinery and equipment under the direction of engineering staff.
• Prepare part sketches, draft detail drawings, and write work orders or purchase requests for outside contractors.
• Review project instructions and blueprints to determine test specifications, procedures, and objectives.
• Inspect and evaluate engineering drawings for accuracy and clarity.
• Assist with assembly, setup, and operation of diesel engine test and prototype hardware.
• Support engineering staff by maintaining documentation and ensuring test data accuracy.
What you bring to the team:
• **2+ years of hands-on experience** with automotive or diesel truck engines (required).
• **Mechanical assembly skills** — able to work with both small and large components using hand tools.
• **Basic computer skills** and strong written/verbal communication abilities.
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented — you take pride in quality work.
• **Associate degree or technical certification** in engineering technology or related field (preferred but not required).
• Familiarity with engineering drawings, measurements, and design software is a plus.
