    **Description:** You will be the CNC/Manual Machinist, Machinist Level 2 for the Lockheed Martin Greenville Backshop Team on Second Shift\. Our team is responsible for Backshop support to for the build, repair and delivery of various aircraft to our customers\.

    What You Will Be Doing

    As the CNC/Manual Machinist, Machinist Level 2 you will be responsible for working with senior level machinists in the Machine shop and hangers as needed doing bushing repairs, working on manual mills and lathes to support product needs\. Other typical machine shop functions as need by supervision\.

     

    •Operate Vertical and Horizontal 3 Axis Mills

    •Utilize typical machine shop equipment and tools such as Millers, Lathes, Drills, etc\.

    The CNC/Manual Machinist, Machinist Level 2 will also need to be knowledgeable in assembly operation and maintenance to include:

    • Assembly Skills

    • Bushing Installation

    The candidate will be required to:

    • Comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions and procedure manuals\.

    • Use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear\.

    • Frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, twist, and work on or in the aircraft\.

    • Frequently lift and/or push or pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or push or pull up to 50 pounds\.

    • Perform repetitive movements and work overhead\.

    • Work in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining a clean, FOD\-free work area\.

    • Properly use, handle and dispose of hazardous materials, and toxic or caustic chemicals per Government regulations and company procedures

     

    Mission essential functions and other duties may be assigned as required\.

     

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus\.

     

    While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment \(PPE\) as needed to perform job tasks\. The employee is regularly exposed to vibration\.

    Basic Qualifications:

    \-3\-8 years job experience with both Manual Lathes & Mills and CNC machines\.

     

    \-Experience with Milling Centers

     

    \-Experience with reading and interpreting drawings/Blueprints \(geometric dimensioning and tolerancing\)\.

     

    \-Candidates must be experienced with using precision measuring equipment, such as dial calipers, micrometers, scales and gauges to check parts machined against requirements for accuracy and operational sequence\.

    Desired Skills:

    \-Tool and Cutter Grinder experience highly desired

    \-Ability to operate manual Tool and cutter grinder equipment
