What You Will Be Doing

As the Software Senior Manager \(Ground Systems\) you will be responsible developing and implementing a comprehensive Software strategy that aligns with the directorate's goals and objectives\. Your responsibilities will include:

• Playing a key role in shaping the organization's approach to integrating systems and software design, security, and integration and test, and will work closely with cross\-functional teams to drive cultural and technological changes that enhance collaboration, efficiency, and innovation

• Defining and implementing Software best practices, identifying and prioritizing areas for improvement, and developing and managing budgets and resource allocation plans to support the strategy

• Key driver of quality within the Maintenance Systems software products

• Leading a geographically dispersed team responsible for career development of first line leaders and continuous technical learning for the organization

Further Information About This Opportunity

This position will be in Orlando, Florida\. Willingness to travel between LM sites quarterly\.

\*\*\*MUST be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance\.\*\*\*

Basic Qualifications:

• 8 years minimum in software engineering

• 5 years minimum in management/leadership roles

• Experience leading teams of 50\+ engineers

• Familiarity with managing Budget, Resource allocation, long term planning

• Experience with Agile in software development lifecycle

• Ability to collaborate with Cross Functional Senior Managers, Program Management Office and Line of Business \(Engineering\)

Desired Skills:

• Experience with EVMS and/or CAM

• Experience with Stakeholder management

• Experience with a volatile staffing and budget profiles

• Experience with complex dependencies and risk management

• Experience driving operational excellence, innovation, and automation

• Experience building high performing teams while leading through change management

**Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration\.

**Ability to Work Remotely:** Onsite Full\-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility\.

**Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.

**Schedule for this Position:** 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
