Job Description:
PACKAGING LINE ROBOT (BACKEND) OPERATOR - Springfield, MO
Work to be performed
Operate the packaging conveyors, bag flattener, and robot machines. Replenish supplies in the robot (pallets, stretch wrap, slip sheets), collect empty bags for the bagging operator as needed, and store finished product pallets in the warehouse appropriately. Good housekeeping is to be maintained at all times.
Work Duties and Required Skills
+ Follow the Production Lineup to package all feeds in accordance with ADM Animal Nutrition Product Specifications and established quality guidelines as stated in the ADM Animal Nutrition Quality Bulletins. Requires the ability to follow ADM Animal Nutrition Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) including, but not limited to, packaging rates and clean- out procedures.
+ Practice good customer service procedures as required by ADM Alliance customer service guidelines. Remember that Customer Service is our top priority at ADM Animal Nutrition.
+ Work as a team player in the quality process. Notify Plant Manager or Assistant Manager, as necessary, if any out- of- spec quality conditions exist. This includes tagging and labeling pallets correctly, proper clean- out, confirming bag ticket information, and other quality concerns before, during and after a packaging run.
+ Lift 55 pound bags from the floor to a height of 36”, ability to withstand heights, climb a ladder, and get into and out of the forklift, and safely operate the forklift.
+ Safely and efficiently operate all necessary equipment at all times (i.e. packaging equipment, and powered industrial vehicles etc.) in a manner so not to harm yourself, your fellow employees, and the equipment. Follow all established plant safety rules.
+ Work overtime as required.
+ Perform other duties as assigned by Plant Leadership.
+ Work in the most effective and efficient manner at all times. Properly package all runs in less or equal to the targeted hours on the production lineup with minimal manageable lost time.
+ Follow all plant rules of conduct at all times.
+ Fill out necessary paperwork properly, including, but not limited to, job tickets, packaging recaps, lost time reports, package verification, and standard work sheets.
+ Provide training to new employees and lesser skilled employees when the opportunities arise for them to learn and assume the Packaging Operator position.
+ Become trained to help or backup the packaging operator in their housekeeping duties which may include climbing the packing bin tower, blowing down, scraping the mixer/hopper/scales, or other duties as directed by Plant Leadership.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
The pay for this position is expected to be:
