As Warner Brother Discovery (WBD) portfolio continues to grow – around the world and across platforms – the Technology & Operations (T&O) team continues to build media technology and IT systems that meet the world-class standard . T&O builds, implements and maintains the business systems and technology that are critical for delivering WBD’s products, while articulating the long-term technology strategy that will enable WBD’s growing audience and reach for pay-tv, digital terrestrial, free-to-air, online services, studios and consumer products. F rom Amsterdam to Singapore and from Digital and broadcast operations to SAP, we are driving WBD forward on the leading edge of technology. We are hiring a Sr Director, Technology & Operations, M&A Due Diligence and Planning leader to drive our M&A portfolio success.
Your Role Accountabilities:
In this role, you will lead the preclose, due diligence, planning, execution, and readiness for Day 0, Day 1, and overall Day 100+ integration planning. This scope covers the entire M&A landscape to include acquisitions, joint ventures, and divestitures. You will be acting as a trusted partner and advocate throughout the M&A integration lifecycle with senior leadership. The role will also collaborate closely with the PMO team to ensure execution adheres to integration plans, TSAs, and financial targets.
The ideal candidate will have the rare combination of operational know-how and strategic instinct. We are looking for someone who has a unique blend of experience; someone who will roll up their sleeves and take ownership, who can drive the buy-in on and implementation of strategic initiatives, who has demonstrated success in a leadership role, who has experience in creating and improving processes, who is technically minded, and who can effectively communicate and be comfortable in a dynamic fast-growing company. Strong candidates will have a demonstrated record of success working in uncertain environments, having driven strategic priorities with a high level of independence. This is a client and executive facing role that requires being able to balance multiple projects, priorities, and detail while cultivating a trusted relationship with global partners and managing a team.
Your Role Responsibilities:
• You will support due diligence, integration planning, and implementation phases of acquisitions and partner closely with the Corporate Development lead to represent T&O on the M&A pipeline
• You will be the technology SME and advisor to senior leadership and provide specific guidance and strategies around integration, separation , and implementation approaches for both prospective and completed acquisition transactions.
• You will define and lead multiple M&A analysis, projects, and planning efforts in collaboration with T&O enterprise technology, business systems, broadcast systems, and information security.
• You will be accountable for on-time delivery and readiness of Day 0 and Day 1 activities
• You will be responsible for building the M&A budget estimates through working closely with technology, procurement, HR, and finance partners to ensure estimates are holistic and inclusive of all impacts and assumptions
• You will collaborate with technical teams to manage and govern the ideation process to define/ validate the synergy capture targets and to lead bottom-up planning
• You will work with technology teams on business case development You will define and measure success metrics to ensure handoff to execution is governed against target outcomes
• You will own the M&A Playbook, standards and best practices across the division ensuring knowledge of the M&A practice is maintained and matured.
• You will support the creation of executive-level analysis, briefings, & reports for internal use and key stakeholders.
• As part of the Technology Business Solutions team, you will lead special studies, analysis, and projects to deliver value on opportunities to consolidate , rationalize and streamline T&O where needed
• Provide on-going governance to the WBD integration through leading iterative ideation to ensure financial targets and business continuity are achieved in partnership with the WBD Integration Management Office (IMO) and the T&O PMO team.
Qualifications & Experiences:
• 8-10 years of IT and business/industry work experience, with at least 3 years of M&A integration experience and 5 years developing and executing project portfolios.
• Must have experience with M&A integration road maps, and technology systems and infrastructure, business systems and process road maps.
• Must have done 3 or more M&A integration projects across a global company. Each M&A integration project should have been with companies with a minimum of $5 million dollars in revenue.
• Strong computer skills: MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant work experience

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $177,170.00 - $329,030.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
