This unique unit cares for a diverse mix of cardiovascular patients, including those transitioning from **CICU, CVICU, 6E, 8E, and 4G stepdown units** , as well as patients recovering from same-day procedures who require extended observation prior to discharge.
On 4B, you’ll care for a variety of patients with complex cardiovascular diagnoses and procedures, providing an exceptional platform to build **critical care skills, enhance assessment abilities, and strengthen clinical judgment** . As an **Registered Nurse** , you’ll bring broad clinical experience and apply the **AACN Synergy Model for Patient Care** to deliver individualized, evidence-based care. + Identify patient and family learning needs and recommend appropriate resources.
+ Recognize cultural differences and individualize care accordingly.
+ Delegate appropriately using the Synergy Model of Care.
+ Work effectively with the interdisciplinary team, patients, and family care partners.
+ Function in a developing leadership role, including Charge Nurse responsibilities when assigned.
+ Assist in orienting staff and students in the absence of a designated preceptor.
+ Demonstrate strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
+ Identify the need for policy revisions based on evidence-based research.
+ Engage in professional growth and actively apply the Synergy Model for Care in practice.
