KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Creates and maintains a data dictionary and meta data.

+ Supports efforts to ensure that data standards are developed and maintained.

+ Ensures that the uses of data through reports and queries are accurate.

+ Supports business and system re-engineering and architecture development to define future data needs.

+ Serves as an organizational consultant on matters relating to databases by providing expertise to assist users in meeting their needs.

+ Performs other related duties as required.

ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS:

The Emory Global Diabetes Research Center (EGDRC) is establishing its AI and Causal Lab and is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team. This position will play a central role in supporting the lab’s routine data services and research activities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

+ Performing data cleaning, management, and quality assurance;

+ Conducting cohort extraction and data preparation for analysis; and

+ Contributing to the development and maintenance of a computable phenotype coding warehouse for the EPIC COSMOS database.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of artificial intelligence, causal inference, and precision public health within a leading global research institution.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

+ A bachelor's degree and one year of experience in data analysis, statistics, or a related field, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

+ Master level candidates must have previous EHR experience, preferably EPIC COSMOS.

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
