    Role Overview

     

    As a **Supervisor, Lab Facility** , you will lead and manage the daily operations of the laboratory staff at South Florida Baptist. You will oversee all testing activities, ensure staff competency, and maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.

     

    In collaboration with the Facility Manager and Director, you will coordinate staffing, workflow, and quality assurance initiatives, while supporting operational efficiency and accurate test reporting. This leadership role also involves staff development, mentoring, and contributing to laboratory projects and process improvements.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Supervise and coordinate laboratory staff and daily operations.

    + Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements.

    + Oversee testing procedures and ensure accurate, timely results.

    + Assist with new test validations and troubleshooting of instruments and procedures.

    + Maintain proper turnaround times and reporting accuracy.

    + Support team resources including hiring, counseling, and annual evaluations.

    + Assist Facility Managers with quality reporting, infectious disease reporting, education, and marketing.

    + Process expense and billing information as required.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • **Certification & Licensure**

    + **Required:** Florida Clinical Laboratory Supervisor License

    • **Education**

    + **Required:** Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Science or Clinical Science-related field

    • **Experience**

    + Minimum 4 years of clinical laboratory or related experience
