    What You’ll Be Doing

     

    As a **Sous Chef** , you’ll be part of the leadership team that keeps our Food & Nutrition Services running smoothly. You’ll help create delicious, well-balanced meals that meet a variety of dietary needs — from daily patient meals to special events.

    In this role, you will:

    + Prepare and oversee production of high-quality, nutritious food following standardized recipes

    + Coordinate daily team assignments and kitchen operations

    + Train and mentor food service team members

    + Maintain inventory, manage supplies, and ensure proper use of equipment

    + Oversee quality control and take corrective action when needed

    + Support HR functions such as interviewing, coaching, scheduling, and performance evaluations

    + Step in for the Chef when needed to ensure seamless service

    + Help maintain safety, sanitation, and security standards throughout the department

    What We’re Looking For

    + **Education:** High School Diploma or GED required

    + **Experience:** Prior food service or culinary experience required

    + **Certification:** ServSafe Manager Certification (must be obtained within 1 year of hire)
