    Job Summary and Qualifications

    Major Responsibilities:

    + Responsible for the daily operations of Patient Services to ensure both patient and employee satisfaction, safety, and HACCP guidelines are maintained. Collaborates as a Food and Nutrition Services Leader of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

    + Responsible for overall operation and management of the patient tray delivery system.

    + Responsible for coordination of daily floor stock delivery. Monitors costs and provides financial reports as needed.

    + Coordinates and implements performance improvement and quality control programs for Food and Nutrition Services.

    + Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, coaching and counseling of staff in accordance with hospital HR policies.

    + Responsible for ensuring all required documentation is completed in a timely manner.

    + Responsible for ensuring compliance with HACCP guidelines and regulatory standards such as TJC, CMS, etc.

    + Participates on hospital committees

    + Oversees Patient Computer system, is on-site administrator and liaison with IT&S department.

    + Oversees Department temperature monitoring system.

    + Acts as a resource and/or expert in food and nutrition information

    + Assumes accountability for promoting consistent, positive patient interactions that advance the agenda of unparalleled patient service.

    + Maintains a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary

    + Provides education support for staff, ensures necessary certifications are maintained.

    + Coordinates facility preceptors for Dietetic Interns.

    + Coordinates and/or performs a variety of staff development functions to include but not limited to: department specific needs assessment, development of goals and objectives, implementation methods, evaluation measures and instruction of education activities

    + Attend Leadership development seminars, WebEx, conferences as available.

    + Complete identified leadership development training in HealthStream

    + Performs other duties as assigned.

    + Practices and adheres to the “Code of Conduct” and “Mission and Value Statement.”

    What qualifications you will need:

    + High School Diploma or GED Required

    + Bachelors degree in Nutrition or Dietetics Preferred

    + Minimum of three years supervisory/management experience in healthcare setting Required

    + Minimum of two years healthcare Clinical Nutrition experience Preferred

    + Food Protection Management Certification (ServeSafe, NRFSP, Always Food Safe, Above Training, 360 Training, Prometric, etc.) Required

    + Registered Dietician (RD) or Licensed Dietician (LD) preferred, or Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) preferred
