About CBRE, Building Operations & Experience
Do you have an affection and respect for the built world around you? The data centers and logistics centers that make our economy tick, the research centers where science moves forward, the offices where you get your greatest work done. For many of those spaces, there’s a company behind them: CBRE. And we mean from the smile when you walk in the door, to the complex electrical systems deep underground.
We run more buildings than anyone else on earth, and we are going to spend the coming years pushing the envelope of what it means to run all of these with operational excellence and an eye to the human experience within.
About the Role:
We are looking for an Associate, Office of the CEO to support the CEO of Building Operations & Experience (BOE) and Chief Commercial Officer.
This role is a bit untraditional, merging elements of an executive assistant with a business operations role — providing direct, day-to-day support while also driving forward key projects and priorities. You’ll work closely with the CEO to anticipate needs, manage information flow, and keep the right things moving at the right time.
It’s an opportunity to operate at the center of one of CBRE’s fastest-growing businesses, gaining deep visibility into how decisions are made and how complex organizations run. The goal is for this role to serve as a launchpad — giving the right person the experience to step into a broader business position within 12–18 months.
What You’ll Do:
+ **Direct Executive Support:** Manage a complex and dynamic calendar with judgment and foresight. Prioritize time, information, and commitments so the CEO can focus on the most important work. Coordinate travel and logistics efficiently. Handle expenses and administrative details with accuracy and discretion.
+ **Preparation & Follow-Through:** Ensure the CEO is well prepared for meetings and appearances with clear materials and context. Take notes or track next steps when needed and, keep important follow-ups from slipping through the cracks.
+ **Operational Rhythm:** Help maintain the rhythm of the executive office — from leadership meetings and off-sites to communications and recurring check-ins. You’ll often liaise with members of the leadership team to gather information, align logistics, or ensure priorities are advancing.
+ **Projects & Systems:** Support small analytical or strategic projects that arise from the CEO’s agenda. Build simple, scalable systems that make recurring work more efficient. Use AI and modern tools where they can improve workflows.
+ **Confidentiality & Communication:** Handle sensitive information and communications with absolute discretion. Communicate clearly, professionally, and with empathy — whether drafting an email or coordinating across time zones.
What You’ll Need:
+ Minimum 5 years supporting senior executives in a fast-paced environment
+ Bachelor’s degree or combination of experience and education
+ Mastery of Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) and comfort with AI and emerging productivity tools
+ Excellent judgment, discretion, and professionalism in handling confidential matters
+ Attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities gracefully
+ Strong writing and communication skills
+ A steady, thoughtful presence under pressure
+ High emotional intelligence — and a sense of humor
