About the Role:
As a CBRE Building Engineer, you will have the outstanding opportunity to ensure the flawless operation of our clients' facilities. This role involves monitoring, maintaining, and repairing various building systems, including plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling. Our engineering team is dedicated to delivering world-class service and maintaining our reputation for excellence.
This role is for a health, nutrition and beauty sector company and is required to be local in New Jersey.
What You’ll Do:
+ Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems.
+ Ensure facility and building systems meet applicable standards and codes.
+ Maintain an energy management program to improve system efficiency.
+ Implement preventive maintenance programs to extend the life of building machinery and systems.
+ Conduct emergency repairs when necessary.
+ Adhere to safety protocols for hazardous materials storage, usage, and disposal.
+ Review inspections of building systems such as fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure efficient operation.
+ Apply standard principles and innovative solutions to complex assignments.
+ Mentor team members and share extensive job knowledge.
+ Lead by example and embody CBRE RISE values.
+ Collaborate with various teams to impact operational, project, or service activities.
+ Communicate complex or sensitive information effectively.
What You’ll Need:
+ High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of relevant experience. A combination of education and experience will be considered. Universal CFC certification is preferred. Additional certifications/licenses may be required by local or state jurisdictions. Prior shift management or supervisory experience is a plus.
+ Ability to meet physical requirements such as stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
+ Excellent judgment and analytical skills to evaluate multiple sources of information.
+ Willingness to adopt new perspectives on existing solutions.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
+ Excellent organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive perspective.
+ Sophisticated math skills for calculating percentages, fractions, and other financial-related figures.

• CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the position is $35 per hour and the maximum salary for the position is $42.79 per hour. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
