    Job Description:

    Summer 2026 Environmental Science Internship – Indianapolis, IN

     

    Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Environmental Science Intern** to join our team in **Indianapolis** for **Summer 2026** !

     

    In this role, you will work closely with experienced professionals to gain hands-on experience in the field of environmental science. The primary goal of this internship is to develop and enhance your technical, communication, and ethical skills while supporting a variety of environmental projects that positively impact the local community and beyond.

    What You'll Be Doing:

    + Learn and apply fundamental principles of environmental science.

    + Assist with environmental research, fieldwork, and data collection.

    + Support the preparation of environmental reports, permits, and assessments.

    + Collect, analyze, and maintain environmental data and project documentation.

    + Participate in environmental site assessments and compliance reviews.

    + Complete training on assigned tasks and responsibilities.

    + Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

    What Qualifications You'll Bring:

    + Actively enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or master’s Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, or a related field.

    + Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.

    + Ability to take direction from leadership, mentors, and managers to execute project tasks.

    + Basic proficiency in technical writing, Excel or similar spreadsheet software, and working knowledge of tools commonly used in environmental science (e.g., GIS, data analysis software).

    Salary Range: $18.94 - $33.17
