    Job Description:

    Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Engineer to act as Deputy Construction Manager to join our Gordie Howe International Bridge (GHIB) project team in Detroit, Michigan. In this role, Parsons being the client's Owners Engineer (OE), you will get to **interact with various engineering and construction disciplined staff on a major international infrastructure border crossing project.**

    What You'll Be Doing:

    + Reviews contractor submittals for compliance with contract documents and prepares appropriate responses.

    + Reviews specifications for contract compliance and prepares comments on proposed changes.Reviews and validates contractor project schedule and budget for all onsite activities, and monitors progress in meeting schedule and budget requirements.Performs site inspection / engineering / quality walks to confirm that construction methods and activities are performed safely and in accordance with construction plans, specifications, and contract requirements. Records findings in field log and communicates areas of concern to construction team.Anticipates problems and works with client, architects/engineers, subcontractors, and Project/Construction Manager to identify and implement corrective actions.May provide technical review of construction documents to confirm design intent and coordination between design disciplines.Keeps client and Project/Construction Manager up to date on day-to-day project activities.Conducts weekly job progress meeting. Prepares and submits summary of project progress to Project/Construction Manager.Monitor the implementation and adherence to internal construction oversight processes.Review and track field changes and RFIs.Maintain conformed set of redline drawings and specs (as-builts).May be responsible for onsite procurement, including scheduling purchases of materials and equipment, tracking deliveries, and submitting invoices to client for payment.

    What Required Skills You'll Bring:

    + EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or related field) and typically 10+ years of related work experience. Professional Engineer registration may be required.

    + Ability to successfully pass a motor vehicle background check to drive a Fleet vehicle.

    + Must be available to work on a project site daily.

    What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

    + A Professional Engineer's license is desired or the ability to obtain.

    Salary Range: $100,900.00 - $176,600.00
