Summary:
Our internship is designed for candidates who are interested in learning the overall operations of a business. This paid, approximately 12-week internship in the summer of 2026 will provide participants with a broad working knowledge of the electrical distribution industry through mentoring, job shadowing, and hands-on training. Interns will be exposed to multiple areas of our business, including warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, counter sales, customer relations, and 3E’s business philosophy. While sales may be introduced as part of the learning experience, the primary focus will be on understanding the day-to-day operations that drive our business.
Interns will also have the opportunity to contribute to special projects such as process improvements, customer or market analysis, or other projects tailored by the management team. Time will be split between warehouse and office settings to ensure a well-rounded experience.

Reports to: Profit Center Manager
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
+ Current, valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
+ Pursuing a 4-year college degree with graduation no later than December 2027
+ Authorization to work in the United States (without requiring work authorization sponsorship by 3E now or in the future)
+ Regular and consistent attendance
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills
+ Experience working in a warehouse or operations setting
+ Leadership experience & ability
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite software
+ Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
+ Self-starter who can handle multiple tasks and a high volume of work
+ Experience in sales (preferred but not required)
Working Conditions:
Conditions vary based on the intern's current segment of the training and will include warehouse, office and external environments. During some segments, activities will include lifting, sorting, standing, possible extreme heat/cold conditions. Office segments may include sitting for extended periods.

Essential Job Functions:
+ Learn and understand all aspects of 3E’s business operations
+ Gain hands-on experience in warehouse operations including order picking, receiving, shipping, delivery, and inventory control
+ Support counter operations by assisting customers, processing orders, and handling product inquiries
+ Shadow inside sales and operations teams to observe customer and vendor relationship management
+ Assist with data entry, reporting, and analysis related to purchasing, sales, or inventory
+ Participate in special projects designed by management (e.g., process improvement, customer analysis, operational studies)
+ Practice effective communication and teamwork across departments
+ Rotate through multiple departments to gain exposure to the full scope of business functions
+ Present findings, project results, or internship takeaways to management at the end of the program
