How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)
The work will involve investigating the capabilities of a
number of leading edge technologies in the realm of Extended Reality (XR):
Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and Mixed Reality (MR). The
student will perform hands-on work with hardware and software associated with
the Meta Quest, HTC Vive, Microsoft Hololens, among others. Work will also
include developing software tools for converting and importing 3D Computer
Aided Design (CAD) models into a format compatible with the Unity virtual environment.
Job Responsibilities:
+ Analyze,design, develop, integrate, debug, and test real-time AR and VR software.
+ Collaboratewith VR developers and designers to create immersive VR experiences.
+ Contribute tothe creation of 3D game assets, animations, and user interfaces for VRenvironments.
+ Participate intesting and troubleshooting to ensure smooth and engaging VR experiences.
+ Stay updatedwith the latest trends and advancements in VR technology.
+ Writehigh-quality, performant, and maintainable code.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
+ Current pursuitor recent completion of coursework or a degree (MS or BS) in computerscience, game development, or a related field.
+ Passion forvirtual reality and a strong interest in VR development.
+ Experience withVR development, 3D graphics, and programming concepts.
+ Proficiency inprogramming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or C#.
+ Experience inone or more of the following areas: game engine development, AR/VRdevelopment, mobile app development, driver or firmware/OS development, orrobotics.
+ Familiaritywith game engines like Unreal or Unity.
+ Knowledge ofcamera and sensor technologies.
+ Experience orinterest in AI research or development.
+ Familiaritywith 3D pipelines and processing models (scenes, textures, materials, andanimations).
+ Strong grasp of3D graphics concepts (meshes, materials, shaders, lighting).
+ Effectivecommunication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team.
+ _Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data._
+ _Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles._
+ _Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency._
+ _Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States._
