    Posting Description

    MAMMOGRAPHY, LEAD, MIT Health, oversees the technical operations of the Radiology department to ensure that mammography exams and radiologic imaging meet MIT Health standards and expectations as well as state and federal regulatory requirements; works closely with the manager to communicate effectively with patients as well as other members of the health care team; provides for the emotional, physical well-being, and safety of the patient while maintaining strict standards of patient confidentiality; is the point person for technical questions; and well perform mammography and radiology exams.

    Job Requirements

    REQUIRED: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology; ARRT Registry Certifications in Radiography RT® and Mammography RT(M) certification from a recognized accredited institution; Massachusetts license with no constraints; Certification from a recognized agency; Massachusetts licensed in Radiography/ Mammography; a minimum of four years as a Licensed Radiology / Mammography Technologist; proven detailed knowledge of Mammography equipment and MQSA, ACR, state, and federal regulations as well as the ability to learn and master new tasks related to Image Quality and Safety; BLS/CPR; and proficiency in tasks employing arm/hand steadiness.

     

    Work Conditions: Will push, pull, or lift objects weighing up to 20 pounds; remain stationary or traverse for long periods of time; and may have to remain in uncomfortable positions such as bending for prolonged periods.
