What we’re looking for:
Indorama Ventures- Indovinya is looking for an Operator to join our team located in Dayton, Texas. In this role, you will oversee plant operations to meet the operating plan. When needs exceed the capability of the shift, leads the efforts to acquire other resources to resolve the issue(s).
What will be expected of you?
+ Performs necessary work in inspecting, loading, and unloading tank wagons, totes and rail cars.
+ Drive Yard Mule.
+ Performs necessary work in unloading, filling, and loading drums.
+ Maintains and records all inventory changes and performs necessary work for blending of products.
+ Maintains current, detailed knowledge and understanding of all shipping equipment, and chemicals that are loaded or unloaded, and contents of Shipping Procedure Manual.
+ Responsible for adherence to safety instructions applicable to work performed and for adherence to general safety instructions applicable to all plant employees and others.
+ Participate in Plant Emergency Response Team.
+ Make out reports, records data, and inputs information into appropriate systems.
+ Write Start Work and Hot Work Permits for maintenance and creates work orders.
+ Maintain good housekeeping habits to ensure the cleanliness, neatness, and order of work area and equipment.
+ Ensure efforts are in-line with all elements of Process Safety Management and the Huntsman Product Stewardship Initiatives.

What are we looking for in the ideal candidate?
+ High School Diploma or equivalent required and an Associate’s Degree in Process Technology preferred.
+ 5+ years of chemical plant experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. Will also consider applicants with related Military experience, Associate’ or Bachelor’s degree in related industrial field.
+ Must meet Fire Brigade physical requirements for jobs that require Fire Brigade participation including the ability to wear a respirator and carry up to 50 pounds of equipment.
+ Must be able to climb and work at elevated heights.
+ Must be willing and able to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule and work nights, weekends, and holidays.
+ Must have a level of proficiency with Internet, Email and Microsoft Office programs.
+ Communicates tactfully and effectively both verbally and in writing and maintains effective work relations with those encountered during the course of employment.
+ Flexibility and adaptability to new instructions and/or dynamic organizational priorities is critical for job success.
+ SAP experience preferred.
+ Mechanical aptitude.
