    Summary:

    The Human Resource Business Partner will provide guidance and consultation to business leaders to address human capital challenges and opportunities per their assigned business unit(s). Develop and execute the business area people plan that will require a balance between understanding business strategy and HR services. Demonstrate responsiveness to client needs and agility to balance both strategic and operational execution. The HRBP will play a key role ensuring that HR-related projects and activities are designed, implemented, and managed to meet client expectations and business needs.

    General Administration

    + Serves as subject matter expert and primary HR contact regarding human resources programs, initiatives, and metrics.

    + Functions as HRIS system Business Intelligence (BI) and HR reporting expert.

    + Provides excellent service by accurately responding to employee and management inquiries in a timely and professional manner

    + Demonstrate continuous efforts to improve operations, streamline work processes and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality team member support

    + Executes programs and projects as assigned.

    + Ensure compliance with all pertinent HR related laws and regulations; including guidance and interpretation related to corporate policy.

    + Other duties, special assignments, or projects as needed and assigned.

    + May oversee the administration of r HR programs such as unemployment cost control, medical leaves, and accommodations for their assigned business unit(s).

    + Work with various HR teams to design effective programs, processes, and policies.

    + Perform day-to-day HR administrative tasks ensuring compliance and accuracy

    + Support the broader HR team in project related and ongoing administrative tasks

    Talent Acquisition

    + Works alongside hiring managers to define talent needs and clarify position requirements.

    + Performs recruitment activities: interviews, and evaluates candidates for exempt, non-exempt and hourly production positions, as well as student and temporary employees.

    + Performs outreach recruitment and networking to community sources as needed.

    + Coordinates activities and tasks to ensure successful onboarding of new hires and transferred employees.

    Benefits Administration

    + Drives the awareness and administration of employee health, welfare and retirement plans including but not limited to 401(k) Retirement Plan, Medical/Dental/Vision/Rx, Short-term Disability, Long-term Disability, Leave of Absence, Flexible Spending (Section 125), COBRA, EAP and various wellness initiatives.

    + Supports benefits annual open enrollment period(s). Arranges for distribution of materials from carriers, assists with communicating changes to employees.

    + Acts as liaison between employees and insurance providers to escalate and resolve benefit related issues, advocate for employees as needed.

    Employee Relations

    + Collaborates with company leadership and serves as a strategic partner on performance management, employee relations, organizational development, policy interpretation, and adherence to employment law and all regulatory requirements as it applies.

    + Executes employee investigations as delegated by leadership, ensuring thoroughness, confidentiality, and compliance with organizational standards.

    Employee Engagement

    + Support the coordination of special employee engagement activities

    + Finds ways to improve work relationships, employee morale, employee engagement and retention.

    + Performance improvement driver and influencer of positive change in employee management to include employee recognition, incentives, counseling & disciplinary process.

    + Provide guidance, coaching, and resolution to employee relation matters, i.e. discipline, grievances, absenteeism, motivation, conflict

    Training and Development

    + Supports new-hire orientation, benefits enrollment and onboarding activities as needed.

    + Identifies training needs for business units and individual coaching needs.

    + Facilitates talent management process for assigned area(s).

    + Participates in evaluation and monitoring success of development programs.

    + Oversees implementation of Career Development Plans and Performance Improvement Plans (PIP) as needed.

    + Supports ensuring accurate record keeping and reporting of training activity by employee.

    + Collaborate with the Quality Department to maintain and update the Training Matrix, ensuring accuracy and compliance with training requirements.Champions employee development by ensuring timely completion of all training initiatives within assigned departments.

    Qualifications

    + 5+ years of Human Resource Generalist experience supporting team members within a manufacturing environment, required

    + Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Public Administration, Business, or a related field, preferred

    + Demonstrated diverse and progressive HR experience and responsibility required.

    + Knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws.

    + Self-directed individual with the ability to manage work with minimal supervision and prioritize multiple competing projects.

    + Knowledge and experience working with HRIS and ATS systems like SAP, Workday, ADP, UKG, PeopleSoft

    + Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and GSuite

    + Demonstrates exceptional collaboration and strong consultative, analytical, and organizational skills to influence outcomes, resolve complex problems, and identify systemic issues. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

    Certificates and Licenses:

    SHRM-CP, PHR or similar HR certification preferred

    Physical Demands:

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Proper lifting techniques required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The travel required for this position is 10%.

    Work Environment:

    The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. An individual may be required to wear appropriate safety protective equipment at the proper times and in the proper environments as outlined by safety program rules. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
