Field Clinical Engineer
The Field Clinical Engineer (FCE) for Image Guided Therapy Devices is a lead clinical and technical Philips device expert providing support across the lifecycle of a clinical study. The FCE serves as the front line in providing technical device expertise and support for clinicians / healthcare professionals that are participating in pre- and post-market clinical studies evaluating Philips IGT devices. This role also acts as a critical link between Clinical Research, Medical Affairs, Research and Development, Training and Education, marketing and the medical community. In this capacity they contribute to product innovation, the development of best-in-class training and education programs and represent physician and user experience with Philips IGT-D products. Among these responsibilities, the highest priority is given to supporting the implementation, training, and troubleshooting of Philips medical devices and systems during clinical studies.
Your role:
+ Serve as the lead technical device expert during clinical studies, managing and performing on-site and remote technical support for Philips IGT devices - during clinical trials.
+ Acts as a clinical and technical SME supporting study teams during study planning, start-up, site identification/qualification, enrollment, follow-up and close out activities in addition to supporting study investigator meetings and product advisory boards.
+ Ensure adherence to study protocols, regulatory requirements (GCP, ISO, FDA), and Philips processes/procedures. Trains investigators, coordinators, healthcare professionals, and internal teams on device operation, study protocols, and troubleshooting.
+ Establishes, maintains, and cultivates credible relationships with key medical thought leaders, HCPs, and scientific professionals including gathering insights, user feedback, and best practices that can be brought back to internal teams (Clinical Affairs, R&D, Medical Affairs).
+ Troubleshoots and resolves issues promptly, identifies areas for process enhancement as well as opportunities for innovation that can help Philips IGT-D, R&D, Clinical and Medical Affairs achieve their objectives.
You're the right fit if:
+ You’ve acquired 8+ years of relevant experience overall OR 5+ years of experience with Bachelor’s OR 3+ years of experience with Master’s in areas such as Medical Education or equivalent. Experience in Peripheral and Cardiovascular devices (imaging and interventional) is preferred. CATH Lab experience is also preferred.
+ Your skills include proficient knowledge of local and global regulations, ISO 14155, ICH/GCP guidelines, good documentation practice, and other applicable regulations and standards.
+ You have a bachelor’s/master’s degree in science, Medicine, Engineering or related field preferred OR equivalent combination of education and experience in similar roles within industry.
+ You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
+ You’re an excellent communicator with an ability to work well cross functionally, with a strong ability to understand technical device functionalities and educate internally and externally on proper functionality and usage. You are able to travel up to 50% as required by business needs.
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Philips Transparency Details
The pay range for this position in AZ, AR, ID, IA, KS, KY, LA, ME, MS, MO, MT, NE, NM, OK, SC, SD, TN, UT, and WV are $122,906 to $196,650.
The pay range for this position in AL, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, ND, OH, OR, PA, TX, VT, VA, WI, and WY are $129,375 to $207,000.
The pay range for this position in AK, DE, HI, MD, RI, and WA is $135,844 to $217,350.
The pay range for this position in CA, CT, MA, NJ, NY, DC, is $144,900 to $231,840.
The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
