Job Purpose Summary
The Shipper is responsible for preparing, verifying, and shipping finished medical device products in accordance with company policies, quality system requirements, and customer expectations. This position ensures that all outgoing shipments are properly packaged, documented, and processed through ERP and carrier systems while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and safety. The role plays a key part in supporting on-time delivery performance, maintaining traceability of product movement, and ensuring the integrity of all shipments leaving the facility.
What you will do
+ Prepare, verify, and package customer orders for shipment per order documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
+ Verify product, lot numbers, and quantities against the pick list or ERP shipping transaction prior to release.
+ Generate, review, and apply packing slips, labels, and manifests as required.
+ Ensure all domestic and international shipments meet carrier and regulatory requirements (FedEx, UPS, DHL, export documentation).
+ Operate ERP system to record shipping transactions, update order status, and print documentation.
+ Stage completed shipments in designated outbound areas and ensure proper identification.
+ Assist with loading/unloading trucks and verifying shipment integrity.
+ Maintain clean and organized shipping stations, ensuring supplies (labels, tape, boxes) are adequately stocked.
+ Perform cycle counts and inventory checks for shipping components and packaging materials.
+ Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and ensure accurate completion of all records.
+ Report shipment discrepancies, damages, or non-conformances immediately to the Lead or Supervisor.
+ Support cross-functional warehouse tasks including Receiving, Packaging, or Returns as needed.
+ Adhere to safety, regulatory, and environmental procedures including PPE use and proper handling of sterile and non-sterile materials.
+ Support daily cycle count activities as needed and yearly physical inventory count.
What you will need
+ Strong knowledge of warehouse and distribution operations, particularly in medical device or regulated environments.
+ Familiarity with ERP or SAP systems, including shipping and inventory transactions.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
+ High attention to detail and accuracy in verifying documentation and physical product.
+ Experience with domestic and international carrier systems (FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip, DHL).
+ Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with other departments.
+ Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
+ Commitment to maintaining quality, accuracy, and on-time performance.
Physical Requirements
+ Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and reach during shift.
+ Must be able to lift/move up to 70 lbs unassisted.
+ Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts (certification preferred).
+ May be required to work in temperature-controlled or loading dock environments.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Education and Experience
+ High School Diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
+ 2+ years of shipping, PPS, or warehouse experience preferred.
+ Experience within a medical device, pharmaceutical, or regulated industry preferred.
+ Working knowledge of GMP, GDP, and ISO 13485 principles desirable.
Work Environment
Work performed primarily in a warehouse/shipping area. Exposure to moderate noise and temperature variations depending on dock activity. Must adhere to gowning, safety, and product handling standards at all times. Overtime and weekend work may be required to meet shipping deadlines.

_A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this role is $17-$20/hour. Further, pay is offered based on geographic location, internal equity, market data, applicant’s job-related skills, commensurate experience, required licensures, certifications, and certain degrees._
