    Job Purpose Summary

    The Product Packager is responsible for ensuring all medical device products are packaged, labeled, and prepared for distribution in accordance with company quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves performing visual inspection, assembly, packaging, labeling, and verification tasks to ensure accuracy and compliance with product specifications and customer expectations. The Packager plays a critical role in maintaining product integrity, supporting continuous flow within the warehouse, and ensuring timely order fulfillment.

    What you will do

    + Perform inspection, cleaning, assembly, packaging, and labeling of medical device products in compliance with company SOPs and quality standards.

    + Verify lot numbers, quantities, and labeling accuracy prior to sealing and shipment.

    + Maintain proper identification, segregation, and disposition of product throughout the packaging process.

    + Pull materials and product for work orders or shipments using ERP system transactions.

    + Accurately record packaging activity, inventory movements, and material consumption in ERP.

    + Organize and maintain clean, efficient work areas that support FIFO and GMP principles.

    + Ensure packaging materials and supplies are stocked and staged for upcoming jobs.

    + Conduct cycle counts and reconcile packaging component inventory as required.

    + Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and ensure accurate completion of all records.

    + Adhere to safety, regulatory, and environmental procedures including PPE use and proper handling of sterile and non-sterile materials.

    + Communicate any product discrepancies, damaged goods, or non-conformances to the Lead or Supervisor immediately.

    + Support cross-functional operations such as Final Inspection, Returns, Shipping and Receiving as needed.

    + Support daily cycle count activities as needed and yearly physical inventory count.

    What you will need

    + Working knowledge of warehouse and distribution operations, particularly in a medical device or regulated environment.

    + Familiarity with ERP or SAP systems and basic Microsoft Office applications.

    + High attention to detail with ability to maintain focus on repetitive, precision-driven tasks.

    + Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to safely use packaging equipment (heat sealers, labelers, scales, etc.).

    + Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate across departments.

    + Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining quality standards.

    + Strong commitment to accuracy, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

    Physical Requirements

    + Regularly required to stand, bend, and reach for extended periods.

    + Must be able to lift/move up to 50 lbs unassisted.

    + Ability to work in controlled or cleanroom environments depending on product type.

     

    Supervisory Responsibility

     

    This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

    Education and Experience

    + High School Diploma or GED required; some college preferred.

    + 2+ years of packaging, PPS, or warehouse experience preferred.

    + Experience in a medical device, pharmaceutical, or regulated industry strongly preferred.

    + Demonstrated understanding of GMP, GDP, and ISO 13485 principles desirable.

    Work Environment

    Warehouse and packaging areas may include controlled temperature zones, cleanrooms, or inspection stations. Employees must follow gowning, cleanliness, and product handling requirements at all times. Overtime and weekend work may be required to meet production deadlines.

    _A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this role is $17-$20/hour. Further, pay is offered based on geographic location, internal equity, market data, applicant’s job-related skills, commensurate experience, required licensures, certifications, and certain degrees._
