    **Work Type:** Full Time (Total FTE between 0.9 and 1.0)

    **Shift:** Shift 1

    **Work Schedule:** 8 Hr (9:00:00 AM - 5:00:00 PM)

    **Pay Range:** $32.00 - $52.08 per hour

    Summary:

    The Supervisor of Patient Services is a key front-line leader supporting the Rush Specialty Drug Solutions in a specialty pharmacy and medication adherence model. The Supervisor provides day-to-day management for a team of pharmacy liaisons located in specialty clinics in hospital settings and is responsible for ensuring patient ongoing support. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision, and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures

    Required Job Qualifications:

    • Associate Degree in related field

    • Valid State of Illinois Pharmacy Technician license

    • Valid PTCB Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT)

    • 5 years working in a healthcare or pharmacy environment with direct patient and clinician contact.

    • 2 years supervisor experience healthcare

    • Demonstrates superior customer service skills in everyday contact with both internal and external customers.

    • Strong communication skills,

    • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Excel and Word;

    • Strong organizational skills a must; strong relationship builder;

    • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to work independently and quickly in responding to and resolving a wide range of problems.

    • Excellent verbal communication skills.

    • Good organizational and time management skills.

    • Team player with a positive attitude and work ethic.

    • Telephone, computer systems, laminar air flow hoods, copiers, fax machines, calculator and other office equipment as necessary.

    Preferred Job Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree

    Physical Demands:

    • Normal office, warehouse and clinical environments.

    • May be exposed to certain hazardous materials, including but not limited to blood-borne pathogens, chemotherapeutic agents, cleaning and sanitizing agents.

    Responsibilities:

    • Supervises and directs activities essential to providing the highest quality experience for patients in specialty clinics.

    • Collaborates between the pharmacy, pharmacy liaisons (who are in the hospital's clinics) and clinical areas throughout the hospital.

    • Ensure a consistent execution of the prior authorizations, patient financial assistance, medication refills, patient appointments, and patient outreach.

    • Establish credible, trusting, professional relationships with clinical, operational, and administrative staff at Shields and within assigned hospital locations.

    • Resolves complex issues within clinic, pharmacy and with support staff in home office.

    • Manages schedules for appropriate coverage for both short- and long-term absences from work.

    • Manages to resolves and identify complex issues within a clinic and assists managers to create tangible action plans to improve performance and ensures timely implementation of improvement efforts.

    • Collaboratively partner with the specialty pharmacy managers to execute on identified opportunities.

    • Provides monthly data reporting to pharmacy managers.

    • Manages Payor requested for insurance reimbursements.

    • Identify, assess and contribute to continuous process improvement and optimization initiatives.

    • Manages the recruitment, hiring, progressive discipline documentation, counseling and annual performance evaluation of pharmacy technicians.

    • Performs other duties as assigned.
