    Vendor Management Consultant

    We’re hiring for a Vendor Management Consultant position with a premier financial service organization in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. If you’re a motivated professional with business experience involving Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Supplier Operations, and/or Finance, it could be the perfect fit. This role will start off as a 8 month contract with a good chance for an extension.

     

    We are a team of 3 people who manage supplier relationships post contract as a key process within sourcing and procurement. This resource will play a fundamental role in providing procurement support.

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Assist Enterprise Supplier Management (ESM) in executing select vendor management processes and procedures that further our ability to meet evolving leadership and regulatory requirements.

     

    This role involves working with the business to execute the supplier management framework, monitor supplier activities, and implement governance best practices to mitigate risks and enhance supplier relationships.

     

    There is a focus on data integrity, program execution and maintenance, report and data ownership, and handling all backend processes necessary to keep the supplier governance program running efficiently. This role is critical in providing analytical and organizational support to enhance supplier compliance, performance monitoring, and risk mitigation efforts.?

     

    For the critical supplier pool, this role will be asked to assist in the development of the ESM program by both onboarding critical suppliers to the program through interactions with the business to put into place best in class governance processes, but also to look for areas of optimization and value creation with our supplier partners.

    Qualifications:

    + **Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics, Operations, Engineering, or a relevant area preferred**

    + **Broad business experience involving Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Supplier Operations, Finance, or other related functions preferred**

    + **Working knowledge of computer programs including Peoplesoft, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and related applications**

    + **Effective verbal, written, and presentation communication skills**

    + **Strong conceptual and analytical thinking – using logic and reason to solve complex problems and make decisions in a changing environment**

    + **Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across organizational areas in a matrix environment**

    + **Experience in working with executive-level leaders in a significant advisory and leadership capacity**

    + **Understanding of negotiation and business relationship management skills**

    + **General understanding of commercial and financial contractual terms**

    + **Preferable to have knowledge or experience in financial services/investment services industry(s)**
