Maintenance Technician – Manufacturing
Why this role exists:
Our client is a leading manufacturer focused on delivering high-quality, “good for you” consumer products. To support long-term growth and ongoing innovation, we’re seeking a skilled **Maintenance Technician** to ensure all production equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. This role is critical in maintaining a world-class manufacturing environment while supporting new product development and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
+ Maintain **Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)** and excellent housekeeping standards in compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
+ Follow all established **safety procedures** and guidelines.
+ **Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot** manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
+ Diagnose and resolve technical problems across multiple systems, demonstrating **expert-level knowledge** in at least two of the following areas:
+ Bulk material transfer
+ Processing
+ Packaging
+ Facilities/utilities
+ Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.
+ Support **continuous improvement** initiatives in collaboration with production, engineering, and plant management.
+ Perform additional duties as required that align with the skill level and scope of the role.
Qualifications & Skills
+ High School Diploma or GED required.
+ Minimum **5 years of maintenance or millwright experience** in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
+ Technical or trade school graduate, or completion of an approved apprenticeship program preferred.
+ Working knowledge of **power voltage systems** and electrical troubleshooting.
+ Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills.
+ Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
+ Proven ability to work independently or as part of a high-performing team.
+ Basic computer literacy and familiarity with maintenance software systems.
Scope & Collaboration
+ Responsible for the prompt and professional completion of all assigned electrical and mechanical maintenance duties at a journeyman level.
+ Collaborates regularly with:
+ Fellow Associates
+ Production Management
+ Plant Engineer
+ Engineering Manager
Physical Requirements
+ Ability to **walk, stand, bend, stoop, climb, and crouch** for extended periods.
+ Must be able to **lift, push, and pull** materials up to 60 lbs.
+ Work performed in varying temperature conditions and around dust particulates.
Work Environment
+ Fast-paced **manufacturing environment** with exposure to:
+ Moving mechanical parts
+ High noise levels
+ Heat, cold, and dust
+ Fumes from flavoring chemicals

**Pay Details:** $30.50 to $34.50 per hour
