The Nation’s energy resilience depends on national-scale energy planning and situational awareness capabilities for rigorous and quantitative assessment, prediction, and improvement. Jacobs is seeking a Project Management advisor to help a valued client evaluate and identify effective risk mitigation strategies to advance the Nation’s energy and economic security. The work involves extensive data integration and collaboration with stakeholders working to model, simulate, and assess the behavior of electric power systems and the dependencies on natural gas, telecommunications, and other critical infrastructure. This is a key role focused on the aggregation of significant and unique expertise at national laboratories to support energy sector threat characterization across varying geographic areas and supporting sectors. This individual must understand the electric grid and contemporary energy technologies and systems, support research initiatives, and manage energy R&D project portfolios. Responsibilities include:
• Tracking of numerous concurrent lines of effort within a project or program
• Tracking funding, task milestones, and deliverables across a portfolio/program
• Balancing financial complexities across multiple stakeholders
• Stakeholder coordination / facilitate relationship building across stakeholders
• Meeting coordination and facilitation
• Facilitate risk management activities
• Contributing to program-wide strategy development
* Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
* Five (5) years Project Management experience
* Ten (10) years total delivering professional services.
* Federal program management experience
* Familiarity with DOE standards
