Job Title: Party Chief

Job Description

Join a dynamic team as a Party Chief where you will lead a two-person survey crew in the field. This role involves leading survey crews at various job sites and assisting the Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) team as needed. You will also be responsible for designating underground utilities and ensuring the quality, accuracy, and thoroughness of your work, all while meeting regulatory requirements and maintaining positive public relations.

Responsibilities

+ Organize field work and direct crew members.

+ Maintain a safe work environment and ensure the protection and maintenance of equipment and vehicles.

+ Accurately and efficiently collect field data and locate features.

+ Deliver collected data to the office in a timely manner.

+ Maintain accurate records of work and expenses.

+ Contribute to the overall objectives by ensuring work quality, adherence to schedules, and budget compliance.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency with survey equipment such as total stations, data collectors, and GPS equipment.

+ Experience with Trimble, land development, and transportation projects.

+ 4+ years of progressive experience in survey field operations with at least 1 year as a survey crew chief.

+ High School Diploma or GED.

+ Valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle record.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Construction staking experience is a plus.

+ Good technical skills and a methodical, detail-oriented approach.

+ Ability to work independently when required.

Work Environment

This role requires extensive walking outdoors in varying terrains and weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. The position involves traveling approximately 50% of the time within Texas and surrounding states. Per diem and lodging are provided for travel. Expect some overnight travel as part of the job requirements.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Addison, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
