Job Title: Project EngineerJob Description

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Project Engineer to join a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing company. This role is crucial in supporting the production of over 750 high-quality pharmaceutical products used globally, including North America, the Middle East, North Africa, and Europe.

Responsibilities

+ Evaluate and qualify capital manufacturing equipment to increase capacity and upgrade technology.

+ Focus on the packaging side, specifically four bottle packing lines for tablets.

+ Oversee the qualification and implementation of equipment and provide day-to-day support.

+ Analyze equipment capabilities, specify, and set up equipment for new product launches.

+ Monitor processes and calculate data to implement continuous improvement opportunities.

+ Manage projects from qualification through purchase, implementation, and optimization.

+ Interact with multiple stakeholders, including process engineers, technology managers, and capital engineers.

+ Travel approximately once per month to vendors for machinery testing, potentially to locations in Europe, Canada, and New Jersey.

Essential Skills

+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.

+ Experience in buying and qualifying capital equipment, preferably production packaging equipment.

+ Background in pharmaceutical manufacturing or any GMP/highly regulated environment such as food or cosmetics.

+ Project management experience overseeing projects from qualification to purchase and equipment setup.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in manufacturing engineering and project engineering.

+ Strong communication skills.

+ Experience in purchasing and qualifying capital manufacturing equipment.

+ Experience in getting new equipment operational within a manufacturing environment.

Work Environment

The work environment includes a clean, state-of-the-art facility with a mix of office space, labs, and a manufacturing area. There is flexibility around working hours, with a minimum expectation of 40 hours per week and core hours from 9 am to 3 pm. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Columbus, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.37 - $50.48/hr.
