Job Title: Entry Level Mechanical Engineer (6-month Contract)

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Entry Level Mechanical Engineer to join our team in a dynamic role that blends engineering fundamentals with technical documentation. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with hardware systems, collaborate across departments, and contribute to the development of user-friendly technical content that supports product success.

Responsibilities

+ Assist in developing clear and accurate technical documentation that meets organizational standards.

+ Translate engineering concepts and product information into accessible content for various audiences.

+ Conduct visual and physical inspections of hardware configuration items.

+ Interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, manuals, bills of materials, wire-lists, and electrical schematics.

+ Collaborate with engineers and subject-matter experts to create procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation.

Essential Skills

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.

+ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

+ Ability to quickly learn and understand complex technical systems.

+ Comfortable working with engineering teams to refine documentation and visuals.

+ Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Internship or academic experience in technical writing or documentation.

+ Familiarity with version control systems and modeling/simulation tools.

+ Exposure to or interest in Artificial Intelligence applications.

+ Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

You’ll work in a relaxed, business-casual office setting with direct access to the production floor. The team is small and collaborative, including professionals from engineering, manufacturing, program management, and technical publications. This role offers a unique blend of desk-based work and hands-on hardware interaction.

Job Type & Location

Contract position based in Lutz, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
