Job Title: Structural DrafterJob Description
The Intermediate Drafter will support the engineering and development team by producing high-precision technical drawings for precast wall systems used in secure infrastructure projects. The role requires close coordination with engineers, project managers, and QA personnel to ensure accuracy, compliance, and manufacturability.
Responsibilities
+ Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings for panels, columns, foundations, and embedded hardware.
+ Translate structural designs into construction-ready documentation.
+ Maintain organized drawing sets throughout project phases.
+ Coordinate closely with engineers, project managers, and QA personnel.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD.
+ 3–5 years of drafting experience in structural or precast environments.
+ Ability to interpret engineering notes and specifications.
+ Familiarity with ACI, ASTM, and IBC codes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s or Associate degree in drafting, CAD technology, or related field.
+ Experience with Revit, SketchUp, SolidWorks.
+ Experience drafting for ballistic or blast-resistant systems.
+ Familiarity with concrete construction and embedded components.
+ Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
+ Effective communicator with cross-discipline collaboration experience.
Work Environment
Office-based, full-time. The role is within the engineering department and involves collaboration with engineering, QA, manufacturing, and project management teams. It is ideal for drafters who take pride in accuracy and want to grow within a mission-focused organization. The work environment is fast-paced and engineering-driven, where precision and collaboration are key.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jupiter, Florida.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
