Environmental Project Manager – Investigation & Remediation (NYC | In-Office)
Lead complex environmental projects with a specialized consulting firm focused on investigation, remediation, and regulatory compliance.
We’re hiring an experienced Environmental Project Manager to oversee multiple active projects involving site assessments, subsurface investigations, and remediation of impacted media. This is a full-time, in-office role based in NYC, offering leadership responsibility, technical depth, and long-term career growth.
About the Role
You’ll manage 4–5 projects at a time, leading teams through environmental due diligence, field investigations, and remediation efforts. You’ll be responsible for scope development, budgeting, client communication, and regulatory compliance, while mentoring junior staff and coordinating with subcontractors and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
+ Lead Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments, RIWPs, RAPs, and mitigation strategies
+ Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables
+ Prepare technical reports, proposals, scopes of work, and cost estimates
+ Oversee field investigations and remediation implementation
+ Communicate regularly with clients, regulators, and internal teams
+ Mentor junior staff and manage subcontractor performance
+ Ensure compliance with NYSDEC regulations, BCP, and spill response protocols
Qualifications
+ 10–15 years
+ of experience in environmental consulting
+ Bachelor’s degree in
+ Environmental Engineering, Geology, or related field
+ Advanced degree and PE/P.G. license preferred
+ Strong experience with soil, groundwater, vapor intrusion, and impacted media
+ Proficiency in report writing, budgeting, and project coordination
+ Knowledge of NYSDEC regulations and Brownfield Cleanup Program
+ Certifications: OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER, SST; PMP, CHMM a plus
+ Excellent communication and leadership skills

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $115000.00/yr.
