Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our client's team in Brea. This position offers an opportunity to work with a leading company in the electronic manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing customer accounts, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records within the Credit and Collections Department.

Responsibilities:

• Reconcile customer chargebacks and deductions for assigned accounts, identifying discrepancies and proposing solutions.

• Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices, ensuring timely customer payments and resolving delays.

• Approve customer orders for shipment based on account status and financial reviews.

• Prepare and submit detailed reports to the Credit Manager, including updates on past-due accounts and cash flow forecasting.

• Collaborate with internal teams such as Sales, Sales Support, and Accounting to resolve account-related issues.

• Assist in training team members within the Credit and Collections Department as needed.

• Provide limited oversight of department operations in the absence of the Credit Supervisor.

• Maintain compliance with established credit and collections policies while performing day-to-day account management.

• Undertake additional tasks as required to support the goals of the department.

Requirements • At least three years of experience in credit and collections, with a focus on accounts receivable.

• Familiarity with credit and collections standards and practices.

• Demonstrated ability to manage high volumes of customer deductions and chargebacks.

• Strong verbal communication skills to effectively resolve disputes and build customer relationships.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with large organizational systems is preferred.

• Detail-oriented and solutions-driven, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

• Solid interpersonal skills for collaborating across departments.

• Knowledge of commercial collections processes and tools.
