    Our client is seeking a dedicated Collections Specialist to join their team in Berkeley Heights, NJ for a hybrid opportunity. In this Contract-to-permanent position, you will play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate collection processes for both commercial and consumer accounts. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with expertise in credit and collections who thrive in a fast-paced environment.

    Collections Specialist Responsibilities:

    • Manage collection activities for commercial and consumer accounts, ensuring timely payments and resolving outstanding balances.

    • Communicate effectively with clients to negotiate payment plans and address account discrepancies.

    • Utilize credit and collection processes to maintain accurate financial records and minimize overdue accounts.

    • Analyze customer billing and payment histories to identify potential risks and develop strategies for resolution.

    • Maintain detailed documentation of collection efforts and interactions with clients.

    • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline billing and collection processes.

    • Prepare detailed reports on account statuses and collection progress using Microsoft Excel.

    • Apply advanced Excel formulas to analyze financial data and generate insights.

    Requirements

    Collections Specialist Requirements:

    • Proven experience in commercial and consumer collections.

    • Strong understanding of credit and collection processes.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas.

    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

    • Familiarity with billing collection procedures.
