• Help Desk Technician

    Robert Half Technology (Houston, TX)


    Description

    We’re looking for a reliable and customer-focused Help Desk Technician to join our IT support team. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for technical issues, helping end users troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related problems. If you enjoy solving problems and delivering great customer service, we want to hear from you.

     

    + Provide first-level technical support via phone, email, or ticketing system

    + Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, printer, and connectivity issues

    + Set up and configure desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment

    + Assist with user account administration in Active Directory, Office 365, etc.

    + Escalate complex issues to appropriate IT staff or vendors

    + Maintain accurate documentation of support requests and resolutions

    + Educate users on best practices, tools, and company policies

    + Assist with onboarding/offboarding processes for employees

    + Support and maintain inventory of IT assets and loaner equipment

    Requirements

    + 1–3 years of experience in a help desk or IT support role

    + Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and basic networking

    + Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, and remote support tools

    + Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, ServiceNow, Freshdesk)

    + Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

    + Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

    + Associate degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
