Environmental Services (EVS) Technician – Hospital Housekeeping
**Location:** Washington, DC
**Shift:** 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
**Job Type:** Contract (with potential for extension or hire)
Position Overview
We are seeking dedicated and reliable **EVS Technicians** to support the housekeeping department at a large hospital facility in Washington, DC. This role is essential to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. You will be responsible for a variety of cleaning tasks, including surface disinfection, linen changes, and general sanitation of patient rooms and common areas.
Key Responsibilities
+ Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of patient discharge rooms, hallways, restrooms, offices, and common areas.
+ Operate Surfacide UV disinfection equipment as needed.
+ Change linens, dust surfaces, sweep, mop, vacuum, and pull trash.
+ Replenish supplies and maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
+ Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with hospital staff and patients.
+ Remain flexible and willing to assist with various housekeeping tasks as needed by the team.
Required Skills & Qualifications
+ **1+ year of housekeeping, janitorial, or environmental services experience** (hospital or healthcare setting preferred).
+ Strong **customer service** and **communication skills** .
+ Ability to work well with others and contribute to a positive team environment.
+ Comfortable standing, walking, and performing physical tasks for extended periods.
+ Floor care experience (buffing, waxing, etc.) is a plus but not required.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
