Job Title: Quality Specialist
Job Description
The Quality Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of manufacturing quality. This position involves preparing work instructions for manufacturing processes, developing calibration procedures for equipment, overseeing training and performance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, the role includes daily support for investigating product non-conformance, proposing corrective solutions, and coordinating with QA Leadership and QA Engineering. This position may encompass responsibilities in the Weymouth Assembly/Inspection area and the Rockland facility's component manufacturing and inspection.
Responsibilities
+ Provide hands-on quality assistance to Manufacturing, Materials, Product Engineering, and Sales by applying knowledge and skills to develop, implement, and sustain process, product, and equipment performance.
+ Perform Incoming Inspection and QC Final Test responsibilities during periods of high product demand.
+ Conduct thorough evaluations of manufacturing issues to identify root causes and propose corrective actions.
+ Apply problem-solving methods, document findings, and organize information into logical reports for cost-effective outcomes.
+ Communicate effectively with a diverse range of audiences.
+ Function effectively within a team, providing leadership and creating a collaborative and inclusive environment.
+ Acquire and apply new knowledge as needed, using appropriate learning strategies.
+ Participate in creating documentation and analyzing non-conformance data quality trends to implement defect-reduction programs.
+ Support the company calibration program for production equipment.

Work Environment
The work environment involves working across multiple facilities, including Weymouth Assembly/Inspection and the Rockland component manufacturing/inspection areas. The role requires active participation on the production floor, utilizing advanced quality assurance tools and technologies. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential, as is adherence to established safety and quality standards.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Weymouth, Massachusetts.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
