    Job Title: 2nd Shift Assembly Supervisor

    Job Description

    The 2nd Shift Assembly Supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating tasks assigned to Assembly and Sub-assembly units. This role involves working from schedules, customer orders, drawings, route sheets, and verbal instructions.

    Responsibilities

    + Plan and direct the setup of Assembly Stations/Cells, which may include light machinery and small presses.

    + Analyze workloads and delivery requirements, distributing the workforce accordingly.

    + Update schedules from each department to track jobs completed and address material or part shortages with appropriate departments.

    + Process all returned switches from customers, ensuring completion of necessary paperwork.

    + Monitor the progress of work, anticipating causes of delay or inadequate performance, and taking corrective action as needed.

    + Direct, assist, instruct, and check subordinates regarding schedules, methods, standards of performance, safety precautions, and shop rules.

    + Maintain discipline and approve daily attendance reports.

    + Collaborate with the Engineering Department to correct shop packets or prints.

    + Work with Quality Control to resolve problems and coordinate with the Materials Department for job scheduling.

    + Execute strategic plans in collaboration with the department Manager.

    + Monitor and control department expenses to adhere to the budget.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + Five to seven years of assembly and/or shop experience.

    + Minimum of three years supervisory experience.

    + Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.

    + Ability to read blueprints and use hand tools, measuring devices, small presses, and other light machinery.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Knowledge generally associated with a high school education.

    Work Environment

    This role operates in a combination of manufacturing and office environments. There is regular exposure to noise, dust, heat, cold, and odors. The position requires the ability to sit, stand, bend, and lift up to 20 lbs.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Weymouth, Massachusetts.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
